INVERSION IN ACTIONUnited States ArmyDecompression & MobilizationUS Army training camps require soldiers to take their bodies to the limit. Training is intense and joint compression injuries are common. After six years of research, the US Army determined that the soldiers who inverted regularly suffered fewer joint related injuries and healed more quickly from joint compression damage. In a letter, Lieutenant Colonel Rieger stated, “We believe in the value of inverted decompression and mobilization and appreciate your efforts to produce safe and effective equipment. Your inversion boots and table provide an ideal way to mitigate the stress of jumping, running and other strenuous tasks we require our soldiers to regularly perform. We intend to include inverted decompression and mobilization in future Army-wide physical training doctrine. You might also be interested to know that the physical therapy department of our post hospital here at Fort Benning also uses your table.” |
